Fresh and fabulous!

After the Beast from the East last week, I've started to wonder if Spring will ever appear.
Having been teased by the snow drops and odd daffodils two weeks ago, it's been back to quilted throws, chunky knits and cashmere scarves. The High Street, however, has moved on!
The price point and product package in these two High Street giants allow you to update your home on an IKEA budget, without the mass market offer.
Homesense really has some amazing one-off pieces at a fraction of the RRP, as you would expect from the sister company of TK Maxx, while H&M gives you great Scandinavian simplicity with a cool take on current trends.
Scrolling through the Instagram squares for this botanical feel, there is still a nod to the fresh green palm prints that we've seen over the past few seasons. As with fashion, in home these themes are cyclical and we saw this theme 20 years ago, when the likes of Habitat had its 'Fresh' promotion.

For those of you who love this fresh feel, the palm prints, the hanging spider plants, rubber plants, cacti and the general nod to the 1970's, check out @fakeitflowers.
However, if you've got green fingers, visit your local flower market. The prices are great - much lower than the nursery or garden centre, and there's often a deal to be had the more you buy. For inspiration try @theconranshopofficial.
